The Really NEET Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise that helps 16-25 year olds outside of mainstream education to gain key qualifications. They approached Kensa to refresh their branding in order to re-engage young people with education and empower them to achieve their full potential.
We proposed concepts from colourful to corporate, but it was the wildcard which stole the heart of project founder, Sophie Maxwell. This concept featured a bright neon palette, radical graffiti-style messaging and a wacky (albeit slightly unhinged) set of hand-drawn cartoons that captured the personality of the project (and it’s participants!) perfectly.
As part of the branding handover, we delivered an online portal featuring brand guidelines and a file repository with templates for everything from learning material to policy documents. We even produced matching apparel from hoodies and t-shirts to water bottles – which were a big hit with learners and mentors alike!
As part of exciting an offshoot project, The Really NEET team challenged Kensa to create an experimental pilot to turn traditional exams into interactive online experiences – think escape room meets video game. We utilised our full breadth of skills from animation and special effects to sound design, brought together in a bespoke web portal with a thematic UX design and accessibility-friendly features.
