To celebrate their excellent results and give prospective students an idea of what life is like at New College Telford, we documented the day and created a short overview video. Rather than work to a script we created a more authentic feeling narrative by splicing together highlights from interviews with staff and students.
The Client
New College Telford is a sixth form college in Shropshire, which supports students to achieve their ambitions. Whether their goal is to attend University, achieve a higher level apprenticeship or get a job, New College provides students with courses and guidance to help them hit their educational or career orientated goals.
The Brief
The college wanted a short promotional video to celebrate the successes of results day in 2015. The video had dual purpose, however, and needed to also be produced to give prospective students an insight into college life from former students.
The Outcome
To create the promotional video, the team embarked on an intense half day of filming on campus. Filming included interviews with key staff and students, all of which gave us the footage we needed to build a cohesive and engaging unscripted narrative. A dash of motion graphics brought the brand to life and tied it all together for an engaged video the college could utilise within their marketing for a considerable amount of time.
